This is the 6th module of this unit. This unit is talking about activities and frequency of doing activities. Students will learn some activity words and some expressions of frequency of doing activities. Besides, they will learn the patterns of asking and answering the frequency of doing activities. This lesson is going to learn the module of reading and writing. It aims to go step further study of this unit and cultivate Students comprehensive ability in using English. 本单元选自广东版开心学英语第 6 册第 5 单元。本单元主要学习用英语 表达一些日常活动的发生频率。本节课该单元的第六个模块的读写练习,进 一步理解、学习本单元所学词汇和培养学生对英语的综合运用能力。 Analysis of Students The students are 11 years old or so. To some extent, they have been equipped with the ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. They can communicate in simple English. They are curious about English and love to participate in the activities. The students have learnt the phrases in Vocabulary and the patterns in Target. Warming up (3 minutes) 1. Greetings Teacher greets students. (教师与学生之间进行问好。) 2. Free Talk T: Today we are going to learn Unit5 My Favorite Activity. Whats your favorite activity? Students think and answer the question. (通过 Free Talk 环节,引入话题,并转到下一环节的学习。) 3. Play a game. Students play a game named Sharp Eyes as a warm up activity. T: My favorite activity is playing games. Do you like playing games? Ss: Yes, we do. T: Lets play a game. The name of the game is Sharp Eyes. Read out the words and phrases. Are you ready? (利用游戏活动,在活跃氛围的同时,对词汇和短语进行学习。) Teaching Purpose Warm up the class and lead in the new lesson, and create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for students to get familiar with the words and phrases. Step 2. Pre-reading(3 minutes) 1. Read the words and phrases. Students read the words and phrases for the second times. (学生通过对教师手持卡片的第二次朗读,巩固单词与短语的读音。) 2. Classify. After reading the words and phrases, students classify them according to 6 categories, including name, age, country, likes, how often and with, and stick them on the blackboard. (学生通过贴卡片,对这些单词短语进行分类。在前面 Sharp Eyes 游戏环 节中,通过不同颜色字体给学生一些小提示。) Teaching Purpose Help students get familiar with the words and phrases and find out the information. Step 3. While-reading(23 minutes) 1. Listen and match. Students listen to these two passages carefully with the books closed. After listening, they do the match exercise and discuss in groups. Teacher invites one of them to do the exercise on the blackboard and then checks answers together. (学生通过听第一遍录音材料,初步感知阅读材料的主题 ,完成相关连线 题,把答案填至表格中。) 2. Read and judge. Students read after the tape. After reading, they do the judge exercise by means of scanning the two passages. Let the students underline the key sentences. They discuss in groups and try to get the right answers. Then, teacher checks the answers. 3. Read the 2 passages. All students read the first passage. Then teacher invites some of them to read the second passage sentence by sentence. (学生齐读阅读材料的第一篇文章,第二篇文章请一些学生一句一句朗读。 ) Teaching Purpose Lead the students to understand the material by these three reading activities. Step 4. Post-reading(10 minutes) 1. Learn the formats of emails. Students learn how to write an email. (学生学习如何写邮件,例如 From,To,Subject 这三栏怎么写。) 2. Ask and answer. Students think about the questions as follows. Teacher asks one of them to answer the questions. (学生与教师间相互问答作范本,通过思考这 4 个问题帮助学生进行下一步 的写作。) 3. Write an email. Students start to write the email. Then they read to their group members. (学生写作,并与组内成员分享。) 4. Share writing. Some of the students come in the front of the class and share their writings. (学生展示作品。) Teaching Purpose Help the students think about how to finish a composition. Step 5. Summary and Homework(1 minute) 1. Summarize. Teacher summarizes for moral education. (教师进行总结和德育渗透。) 2. Assign homework. (教师置作业。) Teaching purposeHelp the students practice the language in real life.
