Story time Place: In a shop Boss: Mr. Elephant Seller: Zoom Customer: Miss Sheep ( ) 1.Miss Sheep wants to buy a shirt. Miss Sheep wants to buy a skirt. ( ) 2.The skirt is cheap. The skirt is expensive. ( ) 3.Mr Elephant is very happy. Mr Elephant is very angry.(生气的) Look and tick() or cross() 1.Zoom,do a good job. Zoom,好好干! 2.No problem! 没问题! 3.Can I help you? 需要帮忙吗? 4.You are fired! 你被开除了! 5.How much is it? 多少钱? Suggestion to Zoom(建议): You should be serious next time! (Zoom, 下次做事要认真了!) Group work & Perform S1: Mr Elephant S2: Zoom S3: Miss Sheep (3 students each group) 要求:两人结对,分别扮演顾 客和售货员,模拟到商店那里 购物。购物时请使用所学英语 对话开展对话。 Shopping time Shopping A: Can I help you? Lead-in (1) T: You sang well just now. How much is that coat in the window? 2 Look at the picture and guess. (2) T: Look at that one. Whats that? Yes, its a skirt. Whos coming? Miss Sheep. Shell take it. How much is it? If you want to know, lets go to the shop and have a look. 2. The first reading (1) T: We are in the shop. Who are they? (Introduce the roles in the story.) (2) Play the video, Ss watch and listen. (3) Look and tick() or cross(), then check the answers. 3. The second reading (1) Ss read the story, circle the problems or difficulties. (2) List some new items, have Ss understand. (Give help if necessary) (3) Moral education: Zoom made a mistake. Why? Lets give a suggestion to him. (Zoom.You should be serious next time.) 4. The third reading (1) Ss read it loud together. (2) Group work(3 Ss each group) (3) Perform (三) Consolidation and extension Shopping time: Have Ss imitate the seller and customer, practice shopping in pairs. (四) Homework 3 1. Try to tell the story in English to your parents or friends. 2. If you have 50 yuan, what will you buy? How much are they? Make a report next class.
