Teaching Plan for Unit 6 Can I have some chicken? 【Teaching Material Analysis】教材分析 本节课的教学内容是辽师大新版英语第五册第六单元的第一课 时。本课时继续学习有关食物的话题。上一单元学习的大部分是西 方的食物,本课时将要学习中国的食物。本课时学习几种常见的食 物的单词:chicken rice noodles meat vegetables 。 通过母女间的对 话,引出核心句型:Can I have some chicken?及答语 Yes, please. 教 材内容贴近学生实际,容易激起学生开口说英语的兴趣。 【Ss Situation Analysis】学生分析 对于五年级上学期的学生而言,他们活泼、好动、模仿力强的 同时也具备了一定的思维、认知能力。本课时的教学从孩子们喜爱 的食物为切入点,让孩子们在食物 chant 中感受英语学习的快乐, 激发他们学习的兴趣。本课教学中侧重通过各种感官刺激让学生在 快乐中自主掌握所学知识,在合作学习中激发学生的想象力,并自 发的利用所学语言进行对话展示。 【Teaching aims】 (教学目标) a. By using courseware, work in pairs, students can listen, say,read and write five words: chicken rice noodles meat vegetables. b. Through watching the courseware(PowerPoint) , practice and pair work,students can understand and use the patterns “Can I have some chicken? Say a chant. 【设计意图】教师用表情、动作、chant 等形式与孩子们进行交 流,拉近师生距离,创设轻松愉悦的学习氛围,激发学生学习英语 的兴趣。 Step. Presentation. a.Learn the new words. Through the guessing game, learn the new words. 1.T: Show a picture of meat (展示一部分).Whats this? S: Meat.(也可以用汉语说) Learn this word, “meat”. (Practice the new word “meat”) 2.The same way to learn the second new word,“vegetables”. (Practice the new word “vegetables”) 3.Show a bowl and ask the students,“Whats in the bowl?” Learn the other three new words,“rice chicken noodles”. Practice these three new words. 4.Review the five new words. Read the words and say, they are Chinese food. The other food, jiaozi eggs cake fish and so on. 5.T: They are in a Chinese restaurant. There are many kinds of food in the restaurant. (The students will be guests. The teacher will be waitress.) T: What would you like? Learn this drill .Then say the difference between the meanings of the two drills. “What would you like? and “What do you like?” Ask the students to practice it. 6.(The students will be waitress or waiter . The teacher will be guests.) S: What would you like? T: Can I have some chicken? (If I want to eat some chicken ,I say it.) You say: Yes, please. Learn these two drills. 7.Listen and say. Helen and her mom are in a Chinese restaurant.
