First, let me introduce myself. My name is Liu Danfeng , and I am working as an English teacher for over 10 years at Xiang Jisi Middle School. My topic today is taken from a Reading in Unit 8 of Book A in Grade 9. Now, this time I will decide to say my lesson from 8 steps: They are Analysis of the teaching material, Analysis of the students, Teaching aims and demands, Key points and difficult points, Teaching methods, Teaching aids, Teaching procedure and Teaching Reflection.Part 1. Analysis of Teaching Material The first, This textbook was made by Shanghai Publish House. Its a reading from Unit 8 of Book A in Grade 9. The second, This is another work by O. Henry. And It can help Ss further read and taste literary classics. Part 2. Analysis of StudentsThe students are in Grade 9. For this lesson, they will learn the reading about the literary classics. Students in this class have finished learning O.Henry s the gift of Magi, and have a certain understanding of the writer. They have ideas about literary works ,but their expression is not fluent. And they have a good foundation in English, active thinking, love challenges and performance. Part 3. Teaching aims and demandsThere are knowledge aims, ability aims and Emotional Aims. Knowledge aims: To understand new words and phrases in this article: Ivy vine, earn, upstairs, icy, (be) out of danger. Ability aims: 1.
