6、nuous tense, Have Ss do the exercise as a class. Have them focus on slides 17-18 and choose the correct answer to complete the four sentences. Check answers as a class. Then show slides 19-24 to the class and explain the important points. Finally have Ss focus on slide 25 and complete the three item

8、ion with their partners ,then make a summary with it. After Ss finish discussing, make the summary a chant to recite it ,it helps them to memory the usage of past continuous tense. Finally have Ss use the chant to finish some exercises, check answers by asking some Ss to read out the sentences. 5. C
9、hallenge yourself (Work on 4b) T: Now here is a challenge. Write sentences about John and Mary using “while” and “when” and the information in the table. Have Ss write their sentences in their notebooks. Walk around the classroom and offer help to Ss where necessary. Then have Ss check their answers
10、 in pairs and correct the wrong sentences. Finally have a few Ss write their sentences on the board. Check answers as a class. 6. Homework (Work on 4c) T: What were you doing at these times last Sunday? Have Ss write down what they were doing in the “You” column of the chart.
