Teaching contents: section A 2 Teaching plan Greeting! Teaching Aims: 1. Learn and master new words: grass, plant, tree, flower 2. Enable students to talk in English about how to express in daily life. 3. Understand the sentence pattern. 4. Develop the students speaking and writing ability. Teaching important points: 1. Improve the students speaking and writing ability. 2. Master these new words and remember them. Teaching difficult points: 1. Students are able to use these new words in our daily life. 2. Students can understand and use the sentence pattern of “There be”. Teaching procedures: Step 1: Lead in Show the topic about “There are many flowers.” on the PowerPoint. Teacher ask students “Do you know any words about this topic?” Students may answer”many ,there are.” Then teacher lead in the sentence pattern of “There be.”. Teacher must emphasize the lisping accent about “th”. Write on the BBD. Teacher asks students “Why dont have am in the sentence pattern?” Step 2 New words The first word is “flower”,show the word by PowerPoint. Other words use the same way to teach. In this process, teacher asks students “How to spell it?”,choose some volunteers to spell them. During the process, teacher can use some games to stimulate students interesting. For example: “look at my figures” “ I louder You lowest”. Step 3 There be There be is +singular nouns are+plural nouns Teacher show 4 pictures, lead in students translate these sentences. The first picture is about “There are many flowers.” The second picture is about “There is a flower.” The third picture is about “There are many trees.” The fourth picture is about “There is a tree.” Ask students find the commons of these four sentences, then find the differences of these four sentences.Last, we can get the sentence pattern. Step 4 Do some exercises. Do some exercises, ask students write the answers on their exercise books. Choose some volunteers speak their answers to class. Step 5 Homework Remember todays new words. Preview the conversations
