French lawmakers passed a law on July 31, 2018, banning students 15 and under from bringing smartphones and tablets to school, or at least requiring they be turned off at school.

Referred to as the “right to disconnect”, French officials said the law aimed to reduce jobrelated stress and prevent em

The pontoon, cage, and generator all sink to the bottom of the river. There, the river current twirls the wheels and creates as much as 50

32、 kilowatts of power. CEO Christopher Sauer says the generator is not very tall, so it can work in water areas that are not very deep. Other companies are not able to do so, he adds. And, Sauer says, the turbines are safe for the animals that live in the river. “At the peak of salmon season, we had a

33、lmost two million fish pass by this thing but at the end of all of that, we did not have a single fish injury as we knew.” Sauer notes that another feature of the technology is “crossflow turbines”. The turbines can move in the same direction, no matter what way the water is flowing. Sauer says the

34、turbines shape permits the generator to harvest power from tidal(潮汐的) currents in the ocean. The companys ocean turbine is called TidGen. It can create up to 600 kilowatts of electricity, enough to power a small settlement. Right now, the amount of power TidGen can harvest changes as the strength of

35、 the tide goes up and down. But ORPC workers are trying to make the power output steady. In time, they want TidGen power to be part of the main energy grid(输 电网) CEO Christopher Sauer says ORPCs current price is about 50 cents per kilowatthour. That price does not make the ORPC system competitive wi
