It aims to improve students abilities to read and write articles about hobbies and jobs. And the teaching procedure is based on the idea of combining the sit

2、uational teaching method and the task-based teaching method.The lesson will be lead by the teacher using step-by-step instruction and working phases. The whole lesson also focus on students ability to solve problems in reality like making a good job choice.Because the final purpose of learning is no

3、t only for using language but also work for their social life. Analysis of students:Students in Six grade already have some training in reading comprehension and writing, but they need to develop the ability to read materials about more topics. And after finishing study about the new words about job

4、s and the previous knowledge about hobbies, students can easily get the main idea of the text. Therefore, the teacher can set more challenging jobs for them to predict, read carefully,speak and work in groups. Teaching Objectives Knowledge objectives: 1.Consolidate the words and sentences structures

Lead-in 1.Greet and play a game

Step 2.Presentation 1.Guide students to predict before listening: Whats the story about? 2.Guide students to listen and

9、 get the main idea: Choose a title for the text 3.Guide students to read carefully one paragraph by one paragraph to get the details: Fill in the table What does he/she like? What can he/she do? Where does he/she want to work? What does he/she want to be? 1. Encourage students to read the text freel

Step 3 Production 1.Give students key words and encourage them to retell the text in groups.Each student chooses one person to retell. 2.Guide students to get back toAriels problem,discuss with partner and share tips. 3.Make students

11、write about their hobbies and ideal workplace on a piece of note, then put it into the treasure box. 4.Do a game: Sharing your golden tips. Ask students to draw a note from the treasure box, open and read it. Then give a report about his classmates hobbies and ideal workplace by using the target sen
