My subject is “What does he look like ?”,which takes from Grade Seven, Book B of Go For It. And Ill talk about it from the following parts. Part 1 The anal
2、ysis of teaching material:It is the first period of this unit. Its a listening and speaking lesson. This lesson mainly talks about peoples appearance, such as peoples height、build、hair and so on. It is very close to their life. The grammar in this unit is still the present tense. Part 2 The analysis
3、 of students:The students have learned English for more than half a year so far. They have showed great interest in English. They want to express themselves but they are lack of vocabularies. Most of them dont often use English to communicate with others. Some of them are not active in class because
4、 they are afraid of making mistakes. In order to encourage them to express themselves in front of others, Ill create some real situations for them to practice the key words and structures. 8、 Teaching methodsTask-based teaching methodsThe situational teaching methodIn this lesson Ill mainly use the Task-based teaching method and the situational teaching method. That is to say, Ill let the students learn in the real situations and finish tasks by listening and making dialogues. That can
9、help students to get a better understanding of the key structures.Part7 Learning methods In this lesson, Ill let them work in groups and pairs to practice the knowledge they have learned. In this way, they can learn better. Work in groups or pairs can also improve their ability of communication.Befo
10、re we learn a new lesson, I always ask them to preview it. After they preview the new lesson, they can learn about the items and know the important and difficult points. And then, they will concentrate more on the knowledge that they dont understand well. It can make them learn easily in class.Part8
11、 Teaching proceduresIn this lesson, Ill finish it in 8 steps.Step 1 Lead-inIn this step, Ill show them two pictures:Yao Ming and Pan Changjiang. Ill tell them like this: This is Yao Ming. He is tall. This is Pan Changjiang. He is short. Then Lead in the new words in this lesson. When they know the w

14、 the picture, ask the students to describe her with the words we have learnt.When they practice, Ill tell them pay more attention to the use of “be” and “have”. When they finish practicing, Ill ask some of them to tell the students when to use “be” and when to use “have”. Step 4 Listening PracticeAf
15、ter they practice the dialogue, they have known how to describe a person and mastered the words and structures. Next ,Ill let them do some listening practice.
