Did you have a nice day yesterday? Ss: Yes! T: Where did we go yesterday? Ss: 南门村./斗门 T: Yes, you are right .Yesterday we went to see the ancient buildings in Zhuhai. Zhuhai is a beautiful city. There are many great buildings here. Can you say out some of them? Present the title Great Builings, and learn the phonic /ei/. 2. Brainstorm: the great buildings in Zhuhai. 【设计意图】以春游的照片开始,快速把学生的注意力吸引到课堂 上,同时通过“Brainstorm”环节,引出珠海著名建筑物,渗透本土 文化,引起学生对本土文化的关注,激发学生参与热情。 (二)Presentation 1.Pre-reading 1)Watch a mini video “Great buildings in the world”. T: There are many great buildings in the world. Lets watch. T : We have a big world. Where do you want to go first? Ss: China/USA/France/Australia. T: OK. Before our visit, we can get some information from the post cards from the World Post Office. 2)Show four post cards that the reading material for today. T: We have four cards today. We can get the information about the great buildings. 【设计意图】通过观看微课,感知世界之大,著名建筑物之多,图 片加音乐,带给学生最直观的视觉冲击,激发学生的好奇心。课 前视频的学习,大部分学生掌握了基础词汇,但篇章的阅读尚未 开始,明信片为学生提供了文段阅读的背景基础。 2.While reading Task 1 :Listen,and guess “What building is it?” 【设计意图】用耳朵初次感知文本内容,获取文中最重要的信息- 文本的主角是谁?训练学生快速抓取关键词的能力。 T:What building is it? Ss: The Great Wall. Task2: Listen again and circle the key words. Students come to the front and circle the words in the computer. Task3: Intensive reading 精读 1.)Present the questions T: Read the passage and then answer the questions. Before reading. Lets read the questions. 2)When they read the story ,teacher goes around the class help them if they need. 3)Check the answers one by one. 4)Use the mind-map to help Ss describe the Great Wall. 【设计意图】本环节设计互学互助的圆桌共同体的小组合作学习 模式,学生带着问题去精读,在较长的语篇中获取自己要的信息, 训练学生在规定时间内能提取重要信息(既文章的中心句)的能 力,为六年级的孩子进入初中后,能顺利适应课堂大容量学习的 中学学习模式做准备。 3. More reading Use the reading methods to read the other post cards. Task 1: Circle out the key words Task 2: Underline the key sentences in each post cards. Please think about the following questions while reading: 1)What building is it? 2)Where is it? 3)How does it look like? 4)What can we do there? Post-reading 1)Make a mind-map in your group to introduce (介绍) your favorite building. Level 1: introduce the building weve learn(已学) Level 2: introduce the building in other cities. 【设计意图】这个环节是自主学习加小组合作学习。通过思维导图 的制作,整合本节课学习的获取信息技巧,掌握建筑物的描述方 法。 (三)Production Write a post card to a foreign friend to introduce the great buildings in Zhuhai. (向外国友人介绍珠海地标) 【设计意图】以读促写,让学生静下心来,整理本节课的重难点, 将其付诸笔端,形成简单的语篇。 (四)Summary T: Before we finish the class, lets see some pictures about our Great Wall. Some people draw on the wall. Some throw the trash. They are our treasure. We have to protect them. 【设计意图】看我们的长城被乱涂乱画,被丢垃圾,引导学生保护 文物,保护我们的建筑物,渗透环保理念和爱国情怀。 (五)Homework 【设计意图】 Level 1:Introduce the great buildings to your parents.向父母介绍本节课知识。 Level 2: 1. Write a information card about the great buildings.整理资料 板书设计 教学反思 (后记) 好的地方:1.通过课前预习微课的学习,学生已经掌握了本课的 重点词汇,提高了课堂效率;2.由学生最熟悉的本土文化出发,而 后走向全国,走向全世界,从点到面,学生更自然地融入学习,同 时渗透本土文化和世界意识,培养学生的人文情怀;3. 引导学生 运用阅读技巧获取重要信息,提高学生的英语学习能力;4 学生 的在小组合作中积极性高,效率高,效果好。本节课整体上达到 了教学目标,解决了重点和难点。从学生上课的积极性可见本课 的亮点。 有待改进:1)教学内容比较多,生词学习的环节时间少了一些,在 小组的朗读环节中有的孩子有困难。2)汇报的环节难度比较大, 有部分学生还不能做到,需要第二课时的补充。
